Stampede Prayers

Stampede Prayers

18" x 24" | Canson Mixed-media Paper | Ballpoint Art | Robin D. Cox

Another symbol of the west, a cowgirl on her horse during the National Anthem to kick off the nights rodeo activities.

The reference photograph for this ballpoint art was taken by the artist herself at the Snake River Stampede, in her home town of  Nampa, Idaho. Stampede Prayers has over 80 hours of work. Most local residence recognized Shelly and Goose from years of attendance. Sadly, the night before Stampede Prayers was unveiled, Goose passed away.
